Description

The Genius Square can be a solitaire game, of course, but it sure is fun to play together, if only so you can pepper your kids with questions along the way. A really fun game to challenge yourself or your friends. A game that gets your brain working and one that can be completed in under a minute so you can easily play several rounds without getting bored. Another fun question to ask is "Can you place the seven cylinders to make an impossible puzzle?" This is a bit harder than you might expect, and it's fun to watch your kids test the boundaries of the game by inverting the challenge.

Genius Star Game - 165,000 The Happy Puzzle Company The Genius Star Game - 165,000

When you have a game called The Genius Square, it sounds all rather complicated, doesn’t it? A game where you must possess a genius level IQ to even think about playing? No, it is a very interesting and fun game to play, and game that can happily be played by players from the age of 6. The genius of the game is that there will always be at least one solution. Instead of looking at specific developmental areas that children might need help with, look at their interests and how those interests can be incorporated into the toy. This will ensure that play and learn go hand in hand, allowing learning toys to develop important skills in children during their play-time.

The board itself is a 6x6 grid; the numbers along the top and letters on the left hand side corresponding to the combinations of letters and numbers on the dice. To start each game you roll all seven dice and using those results, place the seven wooden pegs onto the board. For example, if you rolled A1, A2, B4, C6, E1 and F1, then you would place them on those squares. It’s very important if playing with someone else to make sure your grids match each other, so take a second or two to do so. Once that’s done, you are ready to play. Gameplay Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. Games are over in a flash and while this opens the options up for ‘best of five’ or similar, it can get a bit repetitive if played too much in succession.

THE GENIUS SQUARE | The Happy Puzzle Company, 2 player game

On paper, over 62,000 games sounds like a lot. In practice I would say there are actually more than that. Unless you are gifted with a photographic memory, I very much doubt you will remember if you have played a variation of the game before. Let alone remember the solution you came up with. So you could argue this game has unlimited replayability. Certainly each game will present you with a fresh challenge.

This puzzle game encourages sequencing, spatial awareness, speed of thought, strategic planning and visual perception. In that regard it contributes toward STEM learning without the player’s really knowing it. That’s always a bonus! I love this game so much, but there is one thing I would definitely improve with it. The box only comes ready to play for two people, so they should add more sets so that you can play with more than just one or two people. We even bought another whole Genius Square game just so that we could play with three or four people instead of just one or two. Solo or Groups - Do you have overly competitive friends or family? Practice on your own, as genius square game can be played as a single-player, preparing you to win! Then you can turn around and place thefirst piece in their puzzle, either making the problem easier or harder, depending on the level of challenge you want to give your kids.

The Genius Square | Waterstones

The plastic grids in The Genius Square are good quality with little grooves to stop the circles and wooden playing pieces slipping around. The custom dice are perfectly okay. Find the Solution - The genius square board game guarantees at least one possible solution to every game, with some having multiple! Challenge yourself to find them all! As I said above, I’ve yet to play a game that has bested me. The blurb on the box says that each of the over 62,000 games has a solution. Sometimes more than one. Of all the games I’ve played, which must be over 100 by now, only once did all the players come up with exactly the same solution. And that was the game that took the longest to win, so we all agreed that was likely the only solution. Make Education Fun - The genius square game from happy puzzle company is perfect for mastering STEM concepts like science and mathematics.

For example, if a child wants to play with cars but can't yet reach them without climbing up on furniture or standing on boxes, then consider purchasing an attachment that allows them to play with cars without having to stand up or climb up things.
