Y10 Geographers in Snowdonia
The Geography department took 66 Year 10 students to the village of Betws-y-Coed in the stunning Snowdonia National Park for four days last week. Students stayed in a Field Studies Council Centre. They spent time on the coast at Criccieth and in the village itself collecting data that they would be able to use for their controlled assessment. They were considering how and why the coast needs to be defended and what impacts being a tourist honeypot site has on the village. They all worked really hard and have made a very positive start to work that will ultimately be worth 25% of their final mark.
