The Slimming World plan is a dream for anyone like me, who loves food and more specifically loves eating food! It’s a non-restrictive healthy eating plan, not a diet. You don’t cut out any food group in the Easy Extra plan, and you get to eat chocolate, crisps, sweets, fizzy drinks and whatever else you like….just in moderation and within your syn allowance. This is an explanation of the next step in the Slimming World plan – Easy Extra SP. You could have this creamy, spicy pasta dish on the table and ready to serve in less than half an hour, and it’s a super simple recipe that even the most reluctant of home cooks can master. Most fruits and vegetables are speed foods with a few exceptions, for example, grapes, bananas, potatoes, etc. Essentially, Slimming World class speed foods are those healthier vegetables and fruits. Dinner: Slimming World chimcurri burgers with ketchup (2 syns) wholemeal bread roll (hexb) and mixed salad Then secondly you will need to know all about the Syns in the natural fats. Fish is a free food and can be cooked anyway you like as long as you don’t cook it with fat. If fat is used then make sure you count the fat as a Syn. If you are one of the many people following the Slimming World (SW) plan, you will know that one of the crucial things to your success is keeping a Slimming World Food Diary. How To Do Slimming World Without Joining

A brand new week is upon us. I have put on 4 pounds and kept 1 pound on and in honesty I don’t care and I deserve it. The first weigh in of the New Year is always a worry for me. It’s one that sets up the mindset for the forthcoming weeks so I knew that I had to give it my all and have a good week on plan. I had my new SW books at group over Christmas so was able to have a good look at the changes and get to grips with the new Extra Easy SP plan.

By making a few very small changes to your eating and how you think could help your family eat better but also cut down on your family spend as well. Make sure you have all the information easily available! (You will be referring to it A LOT at first) I start the day with a 5km run with my son, followed by breakfast and then a 6km power walk with my other son.These tuna and sweetcorn fishcakes use store cupboard essentials, so they’re a fabulous option to have in your culinary repertoire for the days when you know you need to visit the supermarket but just don’t have the time.

Whilst you can get some if you join online, it isn’t the same. You can usually take tasters to these group celebrations.Dinner: Quorn peppered steak with oven baked carrot chips and a concoction of dry fried sprouts, onion, bacon and garlic

On Friday of last week I managed to be able to run a total distance of 4.4km. This is the furthest I have done in over 18 months. I plan to run everyday and get this distance up to 5km which used to be my regular distance. I was of course 30lbs lighter then so it will be interesting to see how I get on. You could use an app, scribble it in a notebook, or use my free printable food diary to log everything.
