Not bad but extremely basic Lemon-Levander soap scent, it reminds me of a less fresh version of Daniel Hechter XXL. Here's how I have always ranked "the three that everybody says smell exactly the same" (news flash: they don't smell exactly the same). The first men’s fragrance from Missoni in over 20 years, Missoni Pour Homme is a lustful Eau de Parfum, warmed by glowing facets of patchouli and sandalwood. The Pour Homme Eau de Perfume from Missoni Man is a fresh, vibrant and radiant fragrance keen to make a statement.
Blind bought this for my boyfriend, I'm glad I don't smell any of the synthetic woody notes that I get with Bleau de Chanel. There is absolutely no projection on this fragrance and it is a skin scent as soon as it has been sprayed.This is not some cheap clone -- but it also isn't Chanel, so if you're hoping it's a replacement for BDC. Smells fresh with a a bit of depth, don't know why I imagine a classy middle-aged well-groomed man when I smell this or a father like figure.
When it was released in 2017, I originally hated it for the longest time because of how the synthetic apple and ginger were done as well as the persistent projection. Comparing Wave to Versace Pour Homme, I can immediately understand the comparisons, but there are some marked differences to my nose. After hearing so much hype, I finally decided to give this fragrance a try and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised! But I think that’s great because I have wished for WD-40 to make it a fragrance because I love the smell of WD-40. After about 3 hours the projection had died down to about 12 inches, but the sillage was still going strong with an easily noticeable scent trail.The very forefront of the opening stinks of alcohol which is followed by a burst of juicy citrus and salt.
Wear time is long but sillage is not extreme, so Missoni is more for the quiet confidence man than someone wanting to go "beast mode" into the office, and I'd say this can be a good generalist for virtually year-round use for that "one bottle" kind of guy. I don't know what the profit margin is on Missoni Wave, but for the money, it's better to go with Versace Pour Homme. The vanilla orchid gives it a slight creamy, floral depth on the dry down which works surprisingly well in the cold weather. Missoni is an Italian fashion house based in Varese and founded by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in 1953.So far I am in love with this fragrance, starts out fresh and citrusy then you get an amazing creamy rich white floral while still being somewhat masculine, this is just a beautiful fragrance.
