About this deal

In contrast to a mechanical brake, both brake pistons of the JUIN F1 move evenly in a movement parallel to the brake disc. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . With summer on the wane and cyclocross (not to mention rainy commutes) on the horizon, cyclists' thoughts may be turning to disc brakes.

These things made my cable actuated disc brakes, on my new gravel bike, bell “exactly” like the thoroughbred hydraulic brakes on my hybrid bike. The package includes a pair of brakes (pads included), 2 flat mount adapters, 2 160 mm discs + screws.

One thing to note: when the GT's heat up, the pistons are a little slow to retract until they cool off a bit - just like my Shimano hydros. Performance wise, i didn't really have anything to compare them too aside from my other bike which are fully mechanical disc brakes. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. As with the Juin Tech R1, you can fine tune how closely the pads sit to the rotor using the barrel adjuster on the caliper unit. First things first, we had to prise Juin Tech's R1 brakes out of their attractive lime-green packaging and fit them onto the bike.I’ve been using the Acor version for a good while now – having replaced some TRP Spyres that I thought were superb themselves; I just wanted a little more power when braking from the hoods.
