About this deal
It did the job fine as I got started but now the digital temp gauge is kinda bugging out, and I’d like something with more counterweight. the pour over kettle also features a hold function to keep the water temperature constant for five minutes (up to 96°c/205°f).
If your primary use for a gooseneck kettle is making a single cup of tea or filling a small French press, you might not want a large kettle taking up space in your cabinets. On the other end of the spout spectrum, some pour over kettles have extremely narrow spouts, this may actually result in a slower than required flow rate.A traditional kettle heats water by convection, meaning that hot air rises and circulates through the water. This is sometimes not the case and certain pour over kettles are uncomfortable and have a couple of basic design flaws. As a result, gooseneck kettles can lead to a better cup of coffee or tea (although, you can certainly make a good cup with a standard kettle too). You want to use hotter temperatures to bring out the flavors in better-quality tea, and lower temperatures to dilute the flaws in lower-quality tea.
the perfectly crafted gooseneck did exactly that by providing an accurate pour control and continuous thin trickle.
It was also used to make matcha with 176-degree water, but even then it wasn't much of a hassle to adjust the temperature.
