Whilst it’s not totally smokeless, there is less smoke generated by this compared to regular charcoal barbecues. Again, it's a handy feature for a highly portable charcoal camping stove, and allows you to grill your food to perfection every time. Now, the instructions say to expect a bit of smoke on first use, what we didn’t expect was to send everyone in the houses around us running for cover as the smoke was so bad.
