The juxtaposition of the adult film industry insiders working on the Hope Channel movie offers lots of room for hijinks, but there is also a respect for all lifestyles. I'm not really sure if the main character's job is considered a spoiler but I won't include it because I didn't realise until I started reading and I hate spoilers myself.The audacity of this magical author duo to sneak in and steal Christmas in the sexiest way possible. As a Plus girl, I really loved how fatphobia was addressed and how body positive this entire book was. But she isn’t described, so to be honest I just pictured her as thin throughout as quite a few of the sex things she does would be a bit tricky/need ingenious solutions in a larger body and it’s inauthentic not to reflect this in the writing IMO. Things only get trickier when the reporter who torpedoed Nolan’s singing career comes snooping around—and takes an instant interest in mysterious newcomer Bee.
I thought it was engaging and charming, and it offers a different perspective on holiday shenanigans and those holiday movies on that greeting card channel. He’s trying to restart his career as he juggles his mother’s health issues and his sister’s teen years. Look, is it ridiculous that they believe they're going to get away with making a completely chaste Christmas movie without a single person recognizing Bee from her (quite popular! I’m also really excited that the two other members of Nolan’s former boy band are also getting their romances.That’s why he takes on this movie… and unfortunately for Bee, Nolan instantly recognizes who she is, because he’s definitely watched her ✨ spicy ✨ films, AND he has a huge crush on her.
