About this deal

The compact is perfect for one the go contouring touch ups, especially as the bronzer is a lovely matte finish.

I've been taking the pics in the evenings as I haven't had a chance to do so in daytime, plus the weather's so dark and rainy that flash is needed no matter what time of day I take the pics. I had heard a lot of things about the popular Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powder, so I thought I would give it a try, here's my thoughts. Upon application there was quite a bit of fallout and it wasn't the greatest to blend either, I did end up having to blend this out with some of my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Up until recently I had never tried the famous Bourjois chocolate bar bronzer and a few people I talked to couldn't believe it, being the makeup artist and beauty blogger that I am!

Mainly the fact that if you got a tiny bit too much product on your brush and whacked it on your face, you would end up with cheeks permanently dyed a pooey brown. The texture of all the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powders is like silk, and blending and layering is easy. I bet it's only Greece it's d/c because i cannot see it being in other countries because everyone raves about it. The consistency is lovely and silky, but the application was awful, as the bronzer was hard to blend and left me with more of an orange patchy look. This Bourjois Delice de Poudre, otherwise known as the 'chocolate bronzer' do has a chocolaty smell in it.Honestly, I don't think it would be flattering on yellow skin toned, but that is just my opinion, haha. If at any time you would like to opt out from marketing, you can visit the Privacy Preferences page and select the relevant options. The bronzer is soft to the touch but the texture is really nice, it isn't too soft or overly powdery. Well that's what happened to me when Elly from Ellysmakeupbag commented to me that the chocolate bronzer doesn't seem to be available anymore in the the country she's in, hinting that it may be discontinued.

After months of speculation - and of course the near-empty counters that have not escaped notice - it has been confirmed that Bourjois are pulling out of the UK. Not only have I been using it on my face for a sun kissed shimmer and sheen, I have been using a big fluffy brush to add it to my décolletage, arms and legs for that Victoria’s Secret glow.I am not completely blown away by this bronzer despite it being highly raved in the beauty community. I bought the original a couple of years ago for my daughter to use and somehow it ended up in my makeup collection! Fast Forward back to 2014 and a little reinvention of the cult classic and we have two brand new products to add to the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing powders collection.
