An improvement over 2022's Hisense U8/U8H, the U8K has much better image processing than its predecessor, and it supports both Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+.

It’s also worth noting that the Hisense U7QF opens on an HDMI input when you turn it on – handy for gamers or those using a streaming stick or 4K Blu-ray player most of the time, but possibly irritating for those who just want to go to the home screen at startup.

But to do this, it will collect data about what you watch and use it to improve targeted advertising. Still, it has very good peak brightness that helps it deliver an impressive HDR experience, with great SDR brightness to match. Colours do continue to look natural and lifelike in the HDR Night preset with skin tones also appearing as they should. As a mid-range LCD TV with an LED backlight and Quantum Dot technology it provides decent looking image quality with everyday TV viewing, has worthy gaming capabilities and can also playback most HDR standards to a satisfactory level. When Ultra Smooth Motion is used, we encountered Soap Opera Effect (SOE) with the interpolation modes and, depending on the level of interpolation used, we also noticed more image artefacts with fast-moving objects breaking up at the edges as the system attempted to keep up with creating new frames with fast motion.

Their ULED TVs mostly use VA panels with a narrow viewing angle, so they aren't good choices for wide seating arrangements.

We’ve reviewed some Hisense TVs, though nowhere near all of them, but you can learn a lot about a TV from its specs. You won’t be able to do so hands-free though, you'll have to press and hold the button on the remote each time. Not only can you use this to control the TV but like a standard smart speaker, you can get answers to your questions and it’ll work with the rest of your smart home as well. But if you’re having a movie night, you might want to switch to Theater because it enhances the surround sound effect to some extent.

The TCL Q7/Q750G QLED is a very good QLED TV, but like the TCL QM8/QM850G QLED, it's buggy, with poor upscaling capabilities and terrible color accuracy pre-calibration. Hisense has worked some magic with the viewing angle, as there's barely any noticeable color shift, even at an extremely wide angle. It's a shame that the sound isn't quite up to par, but that’s easily solved by hooking up a separate soundbar. This is a mid-range LCD TV in the Hisense range and is rated at 300 nits by the company, so we set about measuring the peak brightness of the TV as we always do with various window sizes. The A7G is also a QLED TV with Quantum Dot technology built into the panel to give purer looking colours, although it doesn’t quite reach the full width of the DCI-P3 colour gamut for HDR, instead Hisense states 90% coverage. The Hisense A7GQ has two 10W speakers built into the chassis and it will also decode Dolby Atmos audio as well as offer broadcast stereo sound. It also cropped Youtube videos like it was overscanning, but with no option to change that anywhere to be found. These TVs upgrade Hisense’s other lines’ traditional LED panels to Quantum ULED panels as well as supporting the full suite of HDR functionality, in addition to bringing full-array local dimming to the table. What’s more, these TVs are often extraordinarily competitive in terms of specs, features, and pricing.

A trapezoidal protrusion below the bottom bezel houses the TV’s infrared sensor, far-field microphone array (in some regions), microphone mute switch, and Google Assistant LED.To hook up your consoles, streaming kit and audio devices to the Hisense A7G, there are plenty of ways to connect including 3 x HDMI, USB, composite input, optical output and 3. The supplied remote control is a traditional long plastic affair with the buttons all laid out in a logical manner. It’s not 120Hz, which is a shame, nor has freesync it seems, but it’s hardly a gaming display and as far as a TV goes it’s decent. On the other hand, it has one of the glossiest coatings we've ever seen on a TV, so reflections are a bit distracting, as you can clearly see the TCL logo from a display opposite this TV. A smart 4K QLED TV with Quantum Dot technology, the Hisense A7G packs in Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos surround sound and a 60Hz refresh rate.
