After using this product for a few weeks, I think what's happening is that it's drying out my scalp a bit and because of that, my scalp is producing natural oil to compensate, which is leading to build up and more oily-ness on my scalp. This is an incredible shampoo + its accompanying conditioner, it cleans my scalp and leaves my hair really soft. Usually, the day I shampoo, my hair is quite dry and is a mess but the next day my hair starts looking better. It leaves hair soft and clean for a long time. With other shampoos, I felt my hair was always 'heavy' and dull but not with this. You can probably go without shampooing for a few days. This shampoo contains COCO-BETAINE, which is a gentle cleanser.

I used to wash my hair every day because it was so greasy by 5pm after washing that morning. I realized that was only drying my hair out more, causing more grease, etc etc. So I started doing dry shampoo before bed (often even the night I washed it), which helps to absorb excess oil overnight and leave my hair fresher in the morning. For a while I had to accept that day 2 or 3 was always a pony tail/bun day, but I held strong and over time my hair was still decent to wear down on the 3rd or 4th day. Only recently (2 years later) am I able to get 5-6 days between washes, and doing dry shampoo maybe 2-3 nights of that. L’OREAL Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo do what it claims. It cleanses well and kept my hair oil-free for 3-4 days. Adds a bit of bounce and volume and causes no frizziness, hair fall or roughness on the ends. Perfect for Oily Scalp and Dry Ends. Pros Coming to the dry hair ends, I did not get something frizzy and extremely dry hair after the wash. I won’t say my hair looked butter-liciously soft or something fancy, but yes there was no frizz, hair fall, or roughness on the ends. Happy with the results. 😇 Summing Up
