About this deal

Drip stand (drying stand) with collection tray for up to 15 LPs or singles (slides into the case after use). Notes:Pro-quality record cleaning system from Dutch vinyl specialists Tonar. Ultrasonic cleaning aims to remove dust and dirt without damaging the grooves. Highly effective, gentle care for 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch records. Lightly apply the leading edge of the pad to the record and wipe the record in concentric arcs – with the grooves, not across. Wipe the entire record at least 3 times with moderate pressure. During the cleaning cycle, you could clearly see how differently the water behaved on the record surface with the addition of just a small drop of G-Sonic. Instead of moving over the record surface in patches, the water now consistently and evenly spread across the entire surface and was clearly entering the groove with ease.

For heavier cleaning needs, choose the *Two-Step G3 Record Cleaning Fluid. It's the same formulation as GrooveWasher's One-Step G2 Fluid with one important difference: An increased surfactant concentration for greater power to get down and do the dirty work!In the last 2 years alone, the company has introduced an impressive amount of new products, from their stronger G3 formula for very dirty records, to a brand new surfactant fluid designed to aid ultrasonic record cleaning baths. Additional Record Cleaning Pads This refill is one of the essential parts of the GroveWasher product that simply works great. Gently cleans the record surface lifting out all the accumulated dirt and grime with ease." Richard Villanova

It’s made of very fine split-fiber microfiber for a very soft suede feel. It’s recommended as a pad for light cleaning before spinning your record. G-Sonic is a special ultrasonic wash formula that offers a more pure and focused blend of additives than can be commonly obtained off the shelf. This is a gentle proprietary blend of surfactant and emulsifier. The result is greater groove penetration for a superior ultrasonic cleaning. The photos of the Splash Landing Record Towel are for illustration only! This Kit does not include the towel. At risk of sounding like a broken record (pun intended), we’re big fans of the GrooveWasher record cleaning kits here at Sound Matters. Their flagship G2 record cleaning fluid is our go-to day-to-day record cleaning fluid. In terms of results, I’ve reviewed both the G2 record fluid and the SC1 stylus cleaning kit extensively in the previous articles linked, respectively. For this review’s purpose, I will keep it brief and refer to the earlier articles.

As the saying goes, there’s more than one way to shine a penny. That said, I’ve been using GrooveWasher products on my records for over five years now, and I find they work exceptionally both manually by hand and in conjunction with a record cleaning machine. It’s a nice idea, but in practice, the products I’ve tried in this category leave residue on the record surface and can even increase surface noise. Ask ten different people which vinyl record cleaning method they prefer, and you’ll likely get ten very different responses. Unlike many other publications listing the best record cleaning kits, our selection is based on real personal experience, having tried every one of the products listed. The drying cycle worked fairly well, but a few droplets of water did remain on the surface. I dried the last couple of drops with a microfiber pad, but for me, this shows that a ten-minute drying cycle is a requirement. I struggle to see how five minutes would be enough. Drain the static charge from your records and lift any residual dust and grime. The conductivity of the brush's ultra-fine goat hairs eliminates static charges while gently and efficiently removing the dust, grit and particles that bung up your vinyl's grooves and degrade your record's sound. The hair reach deep into the grooves of your vinyl to remove even the smallest particles, leaving your records clean while prolonging the life of vinyl and stylus. On first visual inspection, the record looked significantly better. However, some of the stubborn surface grease/finger marks were still present. Ultrasonic cleaning for vinyl records is an interesting concept. It works by using high-frequency pressure sound waves to agitate a liquid, producing tiny cavitation bubbles. Lots of tiny bubbles produce forces, which help to gently lift dirt, dust, and grime from the record grooves. Add ten drops of G-Sonic concentrate to a gallon jug of distilled water. Replace the cap and shake for at least five seconds to mix. Add the mixed solution to your ultrasonic tank and proceed to clean your vinyl records per your desired methodology. This one ounce bottle of G-Sonic will make up to 60 gallons of ultrasonic bath.
