Note that the Miyoo Mini firmware upgrade is not required for MiniUI. The Miyoo Mini Plus has built-in WiFi, making it capable of netplay between multiple Miyoo Mini Plus devices. RetroArch is a multiplatform frontend that runs “cores” or emulators. It offers several compatible cores for the Miyoo Mini+, each with its own performance and compatibility characteristics. You can navigate the RetroArch cores using the D-Pad and choose one with the A button to see the list of games available for that system. Within Retro Arch you can find an additional menu of emulated vintage consoles each with their own encompassing collection of retro games. Decades of gaming in the palm of your hand.When you first boot you have the main menu, you can use the Left & Right D-Pad to change between the selected menu options. Navigate to the “Roms” folder, and you’ll find subfolders for different systems (e.g., “amstrad,”“atari2600,”“cps1,”“cps3,”“neocd,”“pce”).

Copying over your BIOS and ROM files Adding games to your Miyoo Mini Plus+ is very easy to do. You can simply remove the micro SD card from the device and plug it into your PC. You will see a bunch of folders with console names. Copy any ROMs in to their respective folder, i.e. Mega Drive / Genesis into the MEGA DRIVE folder. You can now copy over any system BIOS files such as those for the Neo Geo, Gameboy Advance and PlayStation. These BIOS files are required to emulate the system correctly. The BIOS files should go into the BIOS folder on the micro SD card.

Overall the Miyoo Mini Plus+ is comfortable to hold, but the extra length on the RG35XX does feel ever so slightly easier to handle while playing. Both are definitely more comfortable than the original Miyoo Mini model though.
