About this deal

Im leaning towards the futaba 3pv at the moment. Futaba do a 2 channel reciever for 25 quid which seems like a fair price. Its not on the compatability chart, which is annoying, but it seems like it should work with the 3pv. while maintaining lower power consumption and high reliable receiver sensitivity, FLYSKY's AFHDS technology

This is a pretty boring section for good reason - it does what you'd expect. For range I practically get about as far as I can see my big 1/10 scale DHK Hunter SCT which is probably about 200m. So far as I know I've never has a failsafe. The only way I could really push range is by setting a car up for FPV but then you are starting to get into a niche application. So in summary, for line of sight operation as we do, range is perfectly acceptable. For what it's worth I ran this same protocol in my quads and had an easy 500m range. I forgot to mention the antenna can flip up if you need extra range but since I've never gone out of range I don't really have a need. I really enjoy using this controller, for me I've been running it in my budget brushless 124018. The controller has a good weight to it and although it is clearly made of plastic it has a better presence and weight to it than the Flysky-FS-GT5 (which I really rate). I also prefer it to the Radiolink RC6GS V3 I recently reviewed and of course the DumboRC X6 doesn't really compete. I would prefer a sponge covered wheel but this will be easy to change - hopefully Flysky offers a budget option here but the plastic wheel is ok for now.Return transmitter settings to factory default. Note: This will delete all model data and settings. The menus are daunting to setup but the customisation is great and once it's done you don't even think about it. I've been looking for a budget controller with a momentary switch for a handbrake because neither the DumboRC X6 nor the FS-GT5 has this function.

With incorporated gyroscopes in the FSBS line of receivers you can utilize the built in SVC feature in the GT5. SVC is FlySky’s version of traction control. When properly configured the SVC function will keep your vehicle going in your desired direction by slightly altering the throttle and the steering. Bought a used 1/8th buggy, came with Flysky FS-GT3C transmitter, with the flysky reciever. It also came with the FS-GT3B transmitter and another receiver, which seems largely the same except for 8xAAs vs 1S lipo. All seemed well at first. Unlike the FS-GT5 and the RC7GS V3, the FS-G7P transmitter has no external antenna which makes this one easy to throw in a bag (although the FS-GT5 antenna does fold down well). Range is good, better than the FS-GT5 at distance where I have trouble seeing even large cars (around 200m). I can't exhaust the range without running an FPV setup so will just say the range should be enough for 95% of the users out there. Setting up the ESC - this is intriguing. Flysky has announced 2 brushed ESC/receiver combos, presumably for crawlers. Although you can't see until connected, I suspect you can either adjust ESC parameters from the remote and or received telemetry data. I might have to get on to find out! So what is the go to radio system these days? some years ago i had the Spektrum DX2 and was pretty happy with it (it was all about spektrum in those days). The Spektrum systems on the ARRMA cars gets a right slating though, These seem to use different systems. The DX2 used "DSM" and the ARRMA versions use "FHSS" Are the better Spektrum systems still worthwhile? If the transmitter voltage is low the LED will flash slowly. This LED has six colors, green, blue, cyan, red, yellow, This binding information only applies to the FS—GTS and the FS—BSG receiver, different receivers may require

When you say "lost control" - do you mean the steering went crazy? There are a few settings on the GT5 that you can adjust. So i have a Flysky FS-GT3C transmitter, and ive been having range issues for a while. i'll try and keep this consise:Then bought another RC car, and since i figured i would sell the previous one on, i moved the Rx to the new car. First run out with the new car, crappy range again. FLYSKV is specially developed for all radio controlled models. Offering superior protection against interference With 20 model memory, crawling mode, SVC mode and the extra functions you expect from a modern radio, the FS-GT5 is all the radio you will ever need for all your surface models.
