Description

Use either the Logitech Camera Settings software or Logitech Gaming Software to change different settings on your webcam. Connect with superior clarity every time you go live on channels like Twitch and YouTube. Stream anything you want in your choice of Full 1080p at 30fps or hyperfast HD 720p at 60fps. Broadcast masterfully with reliable no-drop audio, autofocus, and a 78-degree field of view. Although 720p feels long-forgotten in the smartphone camera and home cinema worlds, it’s still high definition and is perfectly acceptable for video calls with the C922 Pro. Switching to 1080p doesn’t double picture quality for those on the other end of your video call, and the amount of improvement they see will vary depending on the app being used and yours and their internet connection speed. With the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, you’ll be seen in more clarity and detail than ever before with Full HD 1080p video calling—the highest quality available. Enjoy vibrant, true-to-life video clips that capture the smallest details. No time to talk? Send the people you care about a Full HD video clip.

Logitech C922 Pro Stream 1080p Webcam + Capture Software

You can typically get away from using the Logitech software and drivers on most devices, but do note they have made strides and fixed a lot of issues with their software. The only two great advantages of the Logitech C922 vs C920 has is its video recording at 60 FPS and is slightly better in low light conditions than its counterpart. You can use applications like Xsplit or OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) to stream your video feed live. Which of these you choose will likely depend on what you use the Logitech C922 Pro for. Recording in Full HD will make for a sharper picture, while streaming at 720p will still look sharp during a video conference call or live stream, but benefit from a smoother frame rate. Microsoft's LifeCam Studio is a simpler but more affordable webcam that drops the exciting features for a straightforward offering. It just uses a single mic, and it doesn't support 60fps recording, but it will give you Full HD resolution at a lower price. If that's all you're after, this will do. You will need to redo your options every time your computer starts unless you get the newest version of the Logitech G Hub program. The newer software saves your configuration correctly.

Of course, there are some cameras that are a lot more exciting as well. They'll cost a bit more and have higher system requirements to get the full performance, though. Logitech has partnered with popular live streaming and recording application XSplit on the C922. The combination of our expertise in hardware with XSplit's leadership in broadcast software results in a versatile webcam ideal for streaming any type of content. The Logitech C920 is a great video webcam and will be more than enough for any streamer who can’t afford an ultra-professional production video camera. The legacy drivers still exist for the Logitech C920, so you don’t have to use the newest Logitech webcam software or have to rely on Logitech for their drivers. Secondly, Both webcams can do 1080p at 30 FPS. However, the C922 comes with better firmware, which allows specific features, such as 60 FPS at 720p resolution, and works better in low light conditions than the Logitech C920.Usefully, and unlike the more expensive Logitech Brio, the C922 Pro comes with a tripod. This screws into the webcam and is a great addition for if you want to position the camera away from your monitor – perhaps on a shelf, or at a lower angle on your desk. The C922 comes bundled with a 3 Month XSplit Premium License, giving you complete access to the enhanced features of both XSplit Broadcaster and XSplit Gamecaster." For a simply better video experience, Logitech's Brio webcam takes the C922 Pro Stream's specs and dials them up. It can handle 4K HDR video with a wide 90-degree field of view, or you're able to bump down to 1080p at 60fps. Switching resolutions also gives you different field of view options and the ability to digitally zoom and pan. The catch: this webcam is more expensive than the C922.

The two key features here are Full HD video resolution and smooth, 60 frames-per-second video. But you can’t have both at the same time. That’s because 60fps is limited to 720p HD and 1080p Full HD is only possible at 30fps. If you so wish, the exposure, focus, brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness can all be tweaked manually with the free Logitune application. The company also has Logi Capture for recording video with the camera. The Logitech software is still buggy. In other words, it doesn’t tend to save your webcam settings when your computer reboots. In fact, in this day and age when laptops are more prevalent and webcams aren’t as much of a necessity for many users anymore, the Logitech C922 manages to shine with its capabilities and its extra features like the dual-microphones for stereo audio, which you won't find on every webcam.

Also, until recently, it was complicated to manage more than one C920 Hd Pro connected to the computer, since the drivers don’t differentiate between them. We have been very impressed with the Logitech C922 Pro. Webcams simply don’t need 4K resolution (at least for now) and so Full HD is absolutely plenty. We can even see many buyers dropping down to 720p so they can make use of the smoother 60fps setting. You can use the C922 webcam for video calls with various applications such as Skype, Hangouts, and Facetime for Mac.

Let’s take a look at the specifications below for the C922 vs C920. Comparing the Specifications – Logitech C920 vs C922 If we are looking at the potential and features of the webcam between the Logitech C922 vs C920, I would give it to the Logitech C922. The C922 also comes with built in Logitech capture software and a handy Logitech capture app, making it ideal for all you Twitch streamers out there. Not to mention auto light correction software too. But, if you find yourself wanting more and have some budget room or you don't need all of the features and want to save some money, there are other options that may be more worthwhile. It's good, but there are other options The other thing that might matter for some people is the Logitech C922’s webcam video’s ability to do 60 FPS at 720p. It’s a somewhat blurry “720p”, and the settings to make 60 FPS work are a bit obtuse (turning off all features in the camera settings, nothing on auto). Do note that your lighting also plays a big factor in the quality you can get from a webcam. With proper lighting, you can get close to DSLR camera quality. As I indicated earlier that the C922 is able to do 720p/60FPS where as the Logitech C920 is only able to get 30FPS maximum on any setting. However, both are excellent starting points for video webcams for your streaming or content creation needs.
