About this deal

While I applaud the recycling of used paper for fuel for fires, one should never ... and I mean never ... use such fuel for direct food cooking such as BBQ. Hello I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the briquette maker. I made over 70 briquettes with the 24 hour 'output' from just one of my horses! They're finally dry and burn for hours. I used I00% horse manure. After shelling them I ended up with half a sandwich baggie full of peanuts and about 7 cups of peanut shell bits. Some fillers took up more space than others so there were no exact measurements used in mixing the pulp and filler.

Commercially produced paper contains many different chemicals - bleaches, etc. - which are usually toxic. Magazine, or other printed paper is even worse, due to the toxins contained in the inks. The press is very easy to use. Fill up the sections to the top. Place the press plate on top of the pulp and push on both handles. Add in your organic material. Organic material must be mixed into the paper to make briquettes. You can use saw dust, pine needles, rice husks, or chopped leaves and grass. Mix one part soaked paper with three parts of your organic material. [4] X Research source Downside - The grass may need a longer drying time to be an effective filler, that would require somewhere to dry it without piling it up.

The grass clipping needed quite a bit of extra pulp added the final ratio was closer to a 1.5 to 1 ratio of pulp to filler. Their heat is intense, which means there is no delay in generating warmth, and the flame helps even large logs ignite. If there is no dry wood on hand, paper logs can be encouraged to burn a long time. There is no need to fill the chamber of the fire with paper logs; you can burn them one at a time and still receive warmth. That means about once a week I end up with an impressive collection of finely diced lawn all over my sidewalk.

We have sold the Multimate briquette maker around the world, our biggest market is with the UK followed by Germany. We have supplied almost all of the EU countries with presses, The USA is another big market for us. We have even sold to Canada and Australia along with one to South Korea. We aim to continue the supply of presses bur there will be times when we must restrict the supply so as to keep up with the demand. It does not take long for the paper to soak before it is ready to be pulped. There is no need for the paper to soak for days prior to processing. They can be made at any time of the year even in the winter but as they need time to dry out it is better to make them in the spring or summer months if you can. With our press design there is little chance of injury when using the press. Simply fill the basket with the pulp, lower and align the pressure arm, and compress into a briquette as simple as that. There is no need to use any extra force as the press design will remove the maximum amount of water in one go. Our press is well designed and little or no chance of damaging or breaking the press. So now you have a big pile of de-needled (so it isn't a real word .. you know what I meant) branches. You can burn the finished paper logs as fuel on an open fire or wood-burning stove reducing your carbon footprint whilst saving you money on your heating bills. We have found that it is possible to use horse manure in our press, the only thing is that it must be added to the usual mix of newspaper pulp, otherwise it will clog up the press and be difficult to remove from the basket. WEIMA offers a comprehensive range of briquetting presses. With us you will find the right briquette press for every task, however demanding. You will then be able to expel all the water using the handle provided which will automatically remove all the water, the extracted water can be collected below the press for reuse. Don't shred your paper until you are ready to make a batch of briquettes. Shredded paper takes up way more room than flat sheet and if you aren't careful you will end up with little shreds of paper all over the place if a mischievous pet or rambunctious child gets into the shredded paper pile.
