The Scottish Gin Awards is the one of the largest gin competitions in the UK and revealed its winners following a rigorous judging process involving 46 leading experts, the assessment of 63 written entries and the blind tasting of over 200 gins, all distilled in Scotland. On the nose, you get juniper of course, but you also absolutely get a hefty waft of berries from those signature botanicals which, along with the orange, add a slightly sweeter note than you’d often get in a dry gin from citrus alone.
