I have a child in my class (Elijah) and he is one of those wild and crazy kids with lots of energy that always makes you crack up. Yelped the fox, and he snapped up the gingerbread man in his sharp teeth in the twinkling of an eye. I was thrilled when this book was finally published because my female students had been asking “Where’s the gingerbread girl?This version of this classic, traditional story is fun to read aloud as it rhymes beautifully and lends to choral reading the repeat phrase as you go. I would use the kids versions in my elementary aged classes because they are pretty simple language that kids would be able to understand easily. Students will enjoy the chase and the not knowing of what is going to happen at the end of the story. This story tells the tale of an old married husband and wife whom decided to make a gingerbread man for a snack.
