There’s nothing like genuine Shimano Pads, Well designed and easy to fit, undeniable Shimano quality with packaging and good instructions, once installed they will bed in quickly and have you locking it up in no time! You will also need to consider if you are running carbon wheels, that different bike brake pads will be required to ensure no damage is done to the rim. We’d say that as long as it fits your budget and meets your expectations in terms of features/spec…it’s a really strong contender.
The compatibility chart on Tektro's site also states that the equivalent of these pads are Shimano K02S (resin, predecessor of K03S) and K04S (metal, excluded as indicated by the spec sheet). Fwiw I've run a similar set up with metal pads which wore the rotors the same way but all worked fine and without any issues. I might just need to let go of the idea of getting this setup back to "as it should be" and just ride it as is.Reading reviews is an amazing way of getting a good feel for a product without actually being able to try it or see it first.
