About this deal

Best methodology is to start all the way to the -12, -6 or zero db on each band and only turn it up as high as you need to to HEAR the change in dynamics for that frequency. I actually went and wrote them a message on their facebook page and asked whther it could be used with higher voltages the answer was a laconic "9v", with no explanation.

Yes it is an MXR rip off, which is why I'm wondering and hoping it can take the extra voltage to do something more, cause as it is it's a bit limited range wise. I had the MXR 10 band, and It had an additional output which was great in FX loop b/c I was able to take my amps preamp out into a daw, while still using the cab. There is a small amount of noise, but more expensive units do as well, you can even get op-amp kits to fix it, it is so noticeable apparently.By accepting all cookies, you agree to our use of cookies to deliver and maintain our services and site, improve the quality of Reddit, personalize Reddit content and advertising, and measure the effectiveness of advertising.

We do try to give a broad indication of the general condition in the description, but this is just a guide. It's easy to find out how good these are BUT be aware they do have power issues and only V3 dealt with them. So far I've only tested it as a first pedal straight out of the guitar to shape the bare signal before OD and amp gain, I'm also thinking of trying it in the effects loop to correct and fix the heavy gain sound. On top of that, it features a volume fader at the end of the chain and a gain one at the beginning, both pushing or cutting up to 12dbs (just like each EQ channel), giving you extra tone-shaping options, since it can be used as an overdrive. This thing follows my clean tube preamp/compressor so it is great for putting individual freqs back in.

The EQ bands are very subtle but definitely noticeable which makes it a great pedal to use in a chain! The unique electronic filter will reduce any noise interference before it reaches the pedal whilst maintaining a stable and consistent power supply. Here are the videos – we added this pedal to our article about the Best EQ Pedals (Graphic and Parametric). Professional Tonal shaping will see you go way higher in cost than this, but that's a different world.
